1992 -- Present Rick Benzel Creative Services, Los Angeles, CA. As a publishing consulting and writing service, Rick has worked with numerous authors and writers. He has published and ghost written books for Putnam, Contemporary Books, Jossey-Bass, and McGraw Hill, as well as helped numerous authors self-publish their own books. He has also served as Editorial Director for several Internet companies, producing web content. 1988 - 1992 Jeremy P. Tarcher, Inc., Los Angeles, CA. In his role as Senior Editor, Rick acquired and developed 50+ nonfiction trade books, as well as participated in sales campaigns, promotional materials, and writing and designing jacket copy. 1987 - 1988 Prentice Hall, Inc., Boston, MA. Rick managed a staff of 8 editors and a budget of $3 million creating high school textbooks in history, English, and foreign languages. 1976-1986 Houghton Mifflin Company, Boston, MA.Rick served for over 10 Years as Senior Editor developing college-level textbooks in foreign languages and professional training materials in computer skills; 2 years as a Marketing Communications Manager for Dictionary Products.
